Wondertrunk & Co. is seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Concierge to join our team and provide exceptional support to English-speaking travelers exploring the wonders of Japan. As a Concierge, you will be one of the primary points of contact for our guests, ensuring their needs are met and enhancing their overall travel experience. This role involves facilitating communication between English-speaking travelers and Japanese-speaking suppliers, making reservations, offering recommendations, and providing assistance based on guests' itineraries.

Key Responsibilities:

Guest Assistance:

• Act as a dedicated point of contact for English-speaking guests, addressing inquiries, providing information, and offering support throughout their journey in Japan.
• Assist guests with making restaurant reservations, adjusting/cancelling existing reservations, and　coordinating other activities based on their preferences and itineraries.

Communication Facilitation:

• Bridge the language gap between English-speaking travelers and Japanese-speaking suppliers, ensuring clear and accurate communication.
• Facilitate smooth communication for any special requests or requirements, translating and conveying information effectively.

Recommendations:

• Provide expert recommendations for restaurants, shops, and activities across various regions in Japan, tailoring suggestions to meet guests' preferences and interests.
• Stay informed about local customs, practices, and current events to offer valuable insights to travelers.

Flexibility and Responsiveness:

• Work flexible, pre-determined hours to accommodate guests.
• React quickly to changing situations, handle stress effectively, and provide timely solutions to unexpected challenges.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a customer service or concierge role is highly desirable.
• Fluent in both written and spoken English and Japanese.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Knowledge of Japanese culture, customs, and geography.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
